Reem Fayyad Abdel Samad, a Lebanese-Canadian writer, poet, and policy research analyst, born on January 1, 1977, in Majd El Baana, Sawfar, Mount lebanon. She spent her childhood and early adolescence in kuwait before moving back to Lebanon in 1990. Reem graduated  from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut in 2000 with a Masters of Sciences in Environmental Health.

After graduation, she worked at the Ministry of Environment for 5 years and then moved to dubai in 2006 to join the Executive Council in the Government of Dubai as a project manager in policy and strategy for Health, Safety and Environment.

In 2010 she moved to Moncton (New Brunswick - Canada) where she currently lives and works as a policy and research analyst with the New Brunswick Health Council. She is currently pursuing certification in leadership and public speaking from the John Maxwell Team international program in the USA. Besides her career, she is actively engaged in community work around diversity, immigration, women and youth well-being. She is also a member of a music band (Arabica) sharing oriental music.

Her passion for writing started as a private hobby during her adolescence, and then was shared publicly through a blog, and later on a Facebook page "A Window to Truth". Blogging lead her to self-publish her first book "On the margin of revelation" in 2008, a collection of inspirational Arabic poetry featuring Reem's thoughts and perceptions around love and life. Her second book was published in 2018 "To A Man" and represented a collection of messages and letters summarizing various types of emotions that women experience during different stages of the relationship with men.

In 2019, Reem joined "E-Poets Society" for a new journey into electronic publishing in order to expand her readers' base and get to an international audience throughout translations and online marketing and promotion.
